Description
The index pairs a Hong Kong sleeve of Stock Connect Southbound-eligible stocks with a global sleeve of developed-market stocks excluding Hong Kong and China, at a fixed 62%/38% split. From mining and extraction, utilities, petroleum, machinery, and pipeline industries, Akros's NEXUS engine ranks companies whose earnings benefit directly from rising energy prices, with an upstream and oilfield-services tilt that excludes regulated power generators; 24 Hong Kong and 16 global names are selected. Constituents are weighted by a blend of thematic rank (70%) and free-float market capitalization (30%), subject to an 8% cap in the Hong Kong sleeve and 5% in the global sleeve. The index is rebalanced semi-annually.
